Every quarterfinal and semifinal uses a BO5 format: a team must win three games to take the series. The Grand Final on August 1 will be BO7, with four wins required to become champion.
Aurora surprised Group B as two favorites went out
Aurora Gaming’s run was the defining story of Group B. The team first defeated defending champion Team Liquid PH, then beat ONIC to finish first. TLPH never recovered from its opening loss and exited the tournament in its second match.
ONIC, meanwhile, fought back through the lower side of the group, eliminating Selangor Red Giants to claim a playoff spot. That makes Aurora versus ONIC a rematch—but this time, there is no room for error.
MSC has already passed two million concurrent viewers
According to Esports Charts, the group stage peaked at 2,010,159 concurrent viewers during ONIC versus SRG. That figure was current at publication time; with the playoffs and Grand Final still to come, the tournament’s final peak could climb higher.
